我们使用英语时，常常需要表达“一时兴起”“一时冲动”。比如美国客户问你，怎么买了件这么丑的衬衫？你回答，“唉，别提了，一时冲动啊。”就可以说：“Come on! Just a spur of the moment.”

当然，消费可以一时冲动，客户下订单，也会有一时冲动。关键就在于，你是否够专业，够nice，在某些地方，会引导客户产生这种a spur of the moment的消费欲望。

其实spur这个单词，往往用来表示“刺激”“激励”。a spur to earning money，是“赚钱的动力”; a spur to promotion，是“升职的动力”。

还有一个固定短语spur road，表示“岔路”，相当于side road。与之对应，“直路”，英文则是straight road。
